The information has come out in <a title=\"Ron Suskind's website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ronsuskind.com\/theonepercentdoctrine\/\">Ron Suskind\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s new book, The One Percent Doctrine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153On November 13, a hectic day when Kabul fell to the Northern Alliance and there were celebrations in the streets of the city, a U.S. missile obliterated Al-Jazeera\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s office,\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd Suskind wrote in the book, which was released yesterday. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Inside the CIA and White House there was satisfaction that a message had been sent to Al-Jazeera.\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd<\/em><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><em>Questioned yesterday by CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer, Suskind said: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153My sources are clear that that was done on purpose, precisely to send a message to Al-Jazeera, and essentially a message was sent. &#8230;There was great anger at Al-Jazeera at this point.\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd Suskind said U.S. officials considered Al-Jazeera a mouthpiece for al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Asked who made the decision to target the station, Suskind told Blitzer that because of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153sourcing issues\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd he couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t say. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153You don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t put everything you know in a book like this.
