{"id":1665,"date":"2006-10-11T01:17:48","date_gmt":"2006-10-11T01:17:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amrani.cc\/wp\/?p=1665"},"modified":"2006-10-11T01:17:48","modified_gmt":"2006-10-11T01:17:48","slug":"2006-10-11-cui-bono-html","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/amrani.cc\/wp\/?p=1665","title":{"rendered":"Cui bono?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-src=\"v5\">Nice to see that the <em>Daily Star Egypt<\/em>, which has struggled to find its voice as a source of news on Egypt, has an extended, locally written, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailystaregypt.com\/article.aspx?ArticleID=3319\">piece today on Talaat Sadat<\/a>&#8216;s bid to become the next opposition figure to be crushed and thrown into jail for opening up his mouth and saying things that the big boys find discomforting.<\/p>\n<p>Sadat has spoken out now on a number of occasions about the October 6 1981 assassination of his uncle Anwar, requesting a parliamentary investigation into the killing and on one occasion apparently telling a press agency that the whole thing was a coup by then vice-president, now president, Hosni Mubarak and the minister of defense.
