UN criticizes crackdown on dissent

The UN human rights body criticized, in a statement, the Egyptian government handling of the pro-democracy demos over the past couple of months. Three UN human rights experts “expressed alarm regarding the excessive use of force displayed against judges, human rights defenders, journalists and civil society in general during their peaceful protests in support of the independence of the judiciary and the two investigated judges.”

  1. I just don’t know when would such international organizations move or take a real action on the ground instead of just showing their detest and oppositition in words. The 3rd world people got fedup already from words, they have been living with words for decades now. We need some actions, these international organizations should immediately stop their hyppocracy towards the Arab Regimes and start taking some real action in the right direction. The Egyptian people became like a time bomb that’s ready to explode at any moment, and if it does, much harm will be targeted at the International Human Rights moves and The West in General.
