Primo Levi: A Tranquil Star

A tenuous connection to what is generally discussed on this blog, but it’s not everyday that you come across science fiction stories by Primo Levi, and the New Yorker has a lovely one.

  1. Beacon, excellent article. I particularly like the juxtaposition of the West Point dean worried about the effect that ’24’ is having on his students, and the Heritage Foundation panel with Rush Limbaugh and Clarence Thomas rah-rahing torture.

Surnow sounds like such a typical contemporary whiny conservative. Don’t miss the mention of an Attila-the-Hun Iranian buddy with a father who worked for the Shah (in what capacity, hmm?) who turned him right-ward.
