  1. Agreed. But I am secretly hoping the deal will include a one hour special of positive coverage/factual of the Middle East with Bill O’Reilly being assigned to front a section on democratic movements in Egypt- who loves you, Baby.

  2. I’d just like to see Bill O’Reilly having to spend an hour groveling to Medea Benjamin.

Meanwhile, I received this from al Jazeera:

Al Jazeera calls for the immediate release of the kidnapped Fox News journalists

Doha, Qatar – August 15th, 2006: With reference to the kidnapping of the two journalists from the American Fox News network in the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera Satellite Channel, in adherence to its Code of Ethics, reiterates its rejection of attacks of any kind on journalists from any organization.

Al Jazeera calls for the immediate release of the two kidnapped colleagues.

  3. The series of kidnappings that have taken place in Gaza over the past few months, which seem have generally been carried out by Fatah militants (although I’m not certain about that, I just remember reading something about previosu kidnappings) are a rather worrying development. It looks like they are taking place either for money or to secure something from the PA, making the situation in Gaza one step closer to that of Iraq.
