The series of kidnappings that have taken place in Gaza over the past few months, which seem have generally been carried out by Fatah militants (although I’m not certain about that, I just remember reading something about previosu kidnappings) are a rather worrying development. It looks like they are taking place either for money or to secure something from the PA, making the situation in Gaza one step closer to that of Iraq.
