Europe is ours

Ours, I tell you! Dirka dirka Muhammad Jihad! Muahahahahahahaha!!!!

Islam could soon be the dominant force in a Europe which, in the name of political correctness, has abdicated the battle for cultural and religious control, Prof. Bernard Lewis, the world-renowned Middle Eastern and Islamic scholar, said on Sunday.

The Muslims “seem to be about to take over Europe,” Lewis said at a special briefing with the editorial staff of The Jerusalem Post. Asked what this meant for the continent’s Jews, he responded, “The outlook for the Jewish communities of Europe is dim.” Soon, he warned, the only pertinent question regarding Europe’s future would be, “Will it be an Islamized Europe or Europeanized Islam?” The growing sway of Islam in Europe was of particular concern given the rising support within the Islamic world for extremist and terrorist movements, said Lewis.

I wonder if this prediction will be as accurate as Lewis’ last one. Read more for Bernie’s take on the Persian threat. When will some kind soul put him out of his misery?

  1. Damn, why did you have to go and reveal the Arabist Agenda?

It’s curious how neocons like to spew venom on Europe for being “soft” on Islamism and terror and so on, when the euros have much fewer qualms about civil rights/free expression than the Amrikis about banning niqab and arresting ‘suspect’ imams – guess it lets the ‘cons do a double-whammy on Muslim-pampering multi-culti relativists and ‘anti-Semites.’

  2. Ya Issandr,

good to know that Bernard Lewis is still good for a laugh …

After the academics no longer listened to him, he found an audience among the neo-cons and their friends, and now that he’s becoming disgraced there (since none of his predictions turned out to be true) … he goes to the Jerusalem Post.

  3. Issandr, I’m sorry to inform you that Lewis’ “ideas” can find a very wide audience in Italy, seeing that the most authoritative Italian daily (Corriere della Sera) devoted today half a page to the issue…. The article above Lewis’ fears is about the European young muslims’ extremistic trend (!?). And it’s like this quite everyday

  4. Helena, I didn’t mean anything violent by it. I find it sad that a scholar of Lewis’ caliber (when it comes to Ottoman history) should sink so low in his twilight years. I have heard that some former students of Lewis with a lot of affection for him are quite broken-hearted about the whole thing.

I reserve all my violent feelings for heads of state.

Paola, I suppose you could say Lewis is the equivalent of Orianna Falacci.

  5. unfortunately, there are a lot a “students” in Italy, who are learning from Oriana Fallaci’s and Bernard Lewis’ “lesson”. I could never imagine to see my country’s intellettuals and opinion makers run by these feelings,
