Re Mac Guru. Just to get it straight: guy with a last name that ends “ansky” is living in Damascus, where he’s working as a journalist on a tourist visa. While he’s out at a Jewish religious occasion, his laptop is lifted from his house, only to be returned (for free!) through the intercession of a happy go lucky, friendly “friend of a friend” (the Syrian Mac expert!) a few days later.
Who was this guy writing for? CBS news? He’s probably working on a hot tip right now about Charles Taylor’s missing millions – “yeah, see, I got this email from Taylor’s ex-girlfriend and if I just send her my bank account number…”
