For those who cannot read hebrew:
Top image says: sniper squadron
Bottom image says: smaller = harder (referring, accoding to the story, to the technical difficulty in shooting down small targets such as children)
The haaretz story focussed a lot on the question of "approval" by officers to these images, but this seems to me a minor point – clearly this kind of rhetoric is widespread and legitemate, it reflects wide attitudes within Israeli society, this is the truly horrendous thing about it. Censoring the t-shirts would not make these attitudes go away. – but I guess they will try to censor them from now on, as from the army point of view this is a propaganda disaster.
A propos nothing really, but I do find it amusing to get the Libi Fund Google Ad ("Israel [sic] Army Need [sic] You / now you can help them") next to this story. Makes me wonder, do I get a free t-shirt if I donate at a certain level?
The perils of restoring Google Ads. Let them waste their money on this audience.
