I would have to say “yes”, that right now, in relationship to the fighting between Isreal and Lebanon, the United states is doing more harm than good. Obviously, as an american, I do not condone the Isreal bombings on Lebanon and agree that there must be an immdiete cease fire. This fighting has gone too far and is harming many innocent people, bith Isrealis and Lebanese. Personally, I did not vote for Bush and disagree with much of his administration and their policies. C. Rice is doing NO good gallavanting around the world claiming she is trying to create a peace agreement. All that has happened is Isreal must feel that the Bush administration is condoning another week of bombing. Well, let me say as an American that I do not agree with ANY continued bombing: All life is to be valued. The Isreali soldiers should never have been kidnapped, Lebanon should not condone groups going into other countries and killing and kidnapping. And at the same time Isreal cannot react in such an unbalanced way: Killing innocent people is never the right thing to do. As for America: They need to stay out of it other than encouraging Isreal to cease fire now. I hope the Middle East comes forward to negotiate peace between Isreal and Lebanon…and I hope the Bush dynasty in the United states ends soon.
